HPBOSE 2025 registration begins for Classes 8, 10, and 12 open school: Check direct link, deadlines and other key details

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has opened the registration window for the Himachal Pradesh State Open School (HPSOS) 2025 exams for Classes 8, 10, and 12, including the special marks improvement exams for Classes 10 and 12 scheduled to be held in September 2025.
The application process has commenced on the official website, hpbose.org, and will be conducted in three phases, allowing candidates to apply for fresh admission (direct and with Transfer of Credit), re-admission, re-appear, improvement, and additional subjects.
Students can register without a late fee until May 21, 2025, after which late fee charges of INR 1,000 and INR 2,000 will apply in subsequent phases. The fee structure varies by class and category, and for special marks improvement exams, the fee increases with each attempt. HPBOSE has also instructed all study centres to adhere to the revised guidelines uploaded on their respective login IDs.

Eligible candidates can register for the HPSOS Class 8, 10, and 12 exams by following these five simple steps:
Step 1. Go to the HPBOSE official portal at hpbose.org and click on the "Online Services" tab.
Step 2. Select HPSOS admission link from the available options.
Step 3. Pick the appropriate category such as Fresh Admission, Re-appear, TOC (Transfer of Credit), Improvement, or Additional Subject.
Step 4. Fill in your personal, academic, and contact details. Upload the required documents, including a scanned photo and signature.
Step 5. Make the payment as applicable, submit the form, and download the confirmation page for future reference.

The registration window has been divided into three distinct phases. Students are advised to complete the application process early to avoid higher late fees.

For candidates applying under the special marks improvement category, the fee per subject increases with each attempt. The roll number remains the same throughout all attempts.

All affiliated study centres have been directed to carefully review the updated eligibility criteria and application guidelines before filling out forms.
