Prateik Babbar reveals he planned to stay single like Salman Khan after a failed marriage, relationships: 'Zindagi bhar masti'

Prateik Babbar, who is known for his honesty about life's struggles including his battle with drug addiction and navigating complex family dynamics, recently spoke about his failed relationships and how they shaped his outlook on love. He opened up about his initial reluctance toward love and how meeting his fiancee Priya Banerjee transformed his perspective.
In an interview with Galatta India, Prateik revealed that he once planned to stay single, inspired by his Sikandar co-star Salman Khan. After a failed marriage and several unsuccessful relationships, the actor decided to focus on living a carefree life.
"I was like, 'Shaadi toh bhul hi jao mujhe girlfriend bhi nahi chahiye, abhi baas zindagi mein masti karna hai, zindagi bhar masti, Salman Khan banna hai mujhe, literally that was my thought,'" he shared, explaining how he wanted to enjoy life without the complications of love or marriage.

However, everything changed when love re-entered his life in the form of his fiancee, Priya Banerjee. Prateik said he now feels chosen by fate and believes their union is a blessing. "I believe in soulmates. I found mine. I believe in romance. I believe in all of them, but I didn't four years ago. But yes, cupid came and punctured my heart with an arrow," he confessed.
The Baaghi 2 actor expressed gratitude for how life turned out, crediting Priya for transforming his perspective on love. "God sent me Priya, and I feel lucky that things worked out for us. We are made for each other," he added.

Prateik proposed to Priya Banerjee on November 26, 2023, just two days before his birthday. The couple recently celebrated their engagement anniversary and often share glimpses of their love story on social media, much to the delight of their fans.
