Note: For the console players, the Rust Force Wipes happen on the last Thursday of the month.
The Blueprint wipes erase the learned recipes, but these wipes are rarer. They align with the major updates like Jungle Update. It ensures all can adapt to the new content fairly.
While the private servers might tweak the schedules (maintaining bi-weekly, weekly, or any other wipe schedule), many follow the rhythm of Facepunch. To avoid any confusion, make sure to double-check the preferred wipe policy of your preferred server.
Pro tip: Make sure to bookmark the official page for Rust Status for real-time updates, especially if you are juggling in the cross-platform play.
Pre-wipe prep and post-reset tips
Before wiping, make sure to dump the resources, as hoarding will be pointless, and everything will vanish in the end. Also, make sure to scout servers. Find the one with the low ping and the population that you like. Ensure to plan the build, too, and keep the quick starter base design ready.
After the wipe, log in early to secure the prime location and focus on weapons and tools before any luxury items. Hit the monuments faster for the early loot advantages. If needed, team up. The early alliances will help you fight against aggressive players. If you want, you can even try nighttime farming, as it will give you an edge by dodging PvP chaos. Just remember, the 1st few hours after the wipe, decide who dominates the server. Make sure not to waste them.
Note: If you are solo, make sure to avoid the high-pop zones until you get geared up. But if you are in a group, assign the roles to maximize efficiency.
Do not get attacked, as the Rust wipes come in regularly. So, the faster you adapt, the better it will be. It will let you always come out on top.
