In the latest development, it has been revealed that the Slovenian point guard signed a Dallas Mavericks jersey with ‘Fire Nico’ printed on it. The jersey is now up for auction, with the current bid at around $1,200. The custom-made jersey is a direct attack on Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison and reportedly comes with a letter of authenticity from JSA.

Luka Doncic’s trade controversy

It’s no secret how shocking the trade was for Luka Doncic and Dallas Mavericks fans, despite his contributions in leading the team to the NBA Finals last season. After sending him away, the Mavericks couldn’t even reach the playoffs and were knocked out in the NBA play-in tournament.Nico Harrison has been at the receiving end of Doncic fans’ hatred ever since the shocking trade. During the Dallas Mavericks’ season-ending press conference, Harrison had said, "I did know that Luka was important to the fan base. I didn't quite know it to what level." He had also made it clear that he had “no regrets” about the same.Talking about Harrison, Doncic told ESPN after the trade, "It's just sad the way he's talking right now. I never say anything bad about him, and I just want to move on. The fans, my ex-teammates, I'll always keep at heart. It's time for me to move on from there."
Coming to terms with the trade, he said, “I’m mentally kind of exhausted from everything. I know a lot of people won’t believe me, but I am. I think now it’s time to process everything. I don’t know what I learned. Like I said, I think now is the time to process everything. Just emotionally, going through it all, looking back.
