Five boys washed away at Mallepally Cheruvu in Kadapa

Tirupati: Five boys, including a teenager, were washed away in Mallepally Cheruvu at Brahmamgari Matam mandal in Kadapa district on Tuesday. According to the Brahmamgari Matam police, five boys identified as Charan (15), Parthasaradhi (12), Harsha (12), Deekshith (12) and Tarun Yadav (10), ventured into the Mallepally Cheruvu for a leisure swim on Tuesday afternoon.The parents of the five boys, who panicked after searching for them all around but couldn't find them anywhere near the village, informed the Brahmamgari Matam police about the incident.When the police came and searched all over the village and its outskirts, they found footwear and clothes of all the five boys on the shore of the Mallepally Cheruvu.Police roped in expert swimmers and have launched a rescue operation to trace the missing boys, who are feared to be washed away in the Mallepally Cheruvu.
